Easy Homemade Restaurant Style Salsa

Restaurant Style Salsa Recipe

Easy Homemade Restaurant Style Salsa

The fastest way to my heart is through chips, fresh salsa, and tacos, but it can be hard to make fresh tasting salsa with off-season tomatoes. Store bought salsas have a sweet, vinegar taste that just doesn’t suffice when you are craving the real thing. By using canned tomatoes and fresh cilantro and onion, you can create a salsa that tastes just like you’ve made it during peak tomato season.

This recipe tastes great with regular diced tomatoes, but for an even fresher taste, you can substitute San Marzano tomatoes. San Marzanos can be hard to find in local stores, but you can order them on Amazon.

With a cost of just under $3 per batch, this inexpensive salsa will quickly become a staple on Taco Tuesday.

Leftovers can also be used to replace jarred salsa in all of your favorite freezer meals.
