Easy Homemade Restaurant Style Salsa

This easy homemade restaurant style salsa tastes just like you've used fresh, home-grown tomatoes! This tastes just like the salsa from your favorite restaurant, but since it uses canned tomatoes as the base, you can achieve consistent results year-round.

  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1/2 medium Onion
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro
  • 1 whole Jalapeno Pepper (seeded and vein removed) optional
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes (15 oz)
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes with Green Chili (10 oz)
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt


  1. Place garlic, onion, cilantro, and jalapeno pepper in food processor and pulse until chopped.

  2. Drain tomatoes and add to food processor. Quickly pulse until blended.

  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
